Certifications and Certificates Specific to Legal and E-Discovery Project Management
The E-Discovery Project Manager Certificate is a 20-credit program designed to prepare professionals to manage and participate in e-Discovery efforts both in legal actions and in on-going risk management operations performed by firms. The instructional program content is based upon the occupational analysis of the e-Discovery field, the direction of the College's preeminent E-Discovery Advisory Board and other industry resources.
Those completing two on-line courses and receive a passing grade on the final learning assessment will be awarded a certificate in legal project management.
The Certified Legal Project Manager program is designed for practicing lawyers who have at least three years of experience managing large legal matters. It enables them to go a step further than any other program, and guarantees a solid foundation in both knowledge and skills. The Certified Legal Project Planner program is designed for financial staff, paralegals, law clerks, and other non-lawyers who are involved in planning and managing large legal projects, but who have limited authority. This program is also suitable for associates and junior partners who help senior partners manage projects. Special attention is paid to the issue of how to manage a project when the team doesn't necessarily want to be managed, especially by a junior lawyer or a non-lawyer.
