Altman Weil Presents "Paralegal Profitability in the New Legal Economy"

Paralegals are often overlooked in discussions about legal-project management, but in many firms, especially small to medium firms, paralegals probably make up the majority of accidental legal-project managers. Already, many lawyers rely on their paralegals to manage their practice management software, calendars, and tickler systems; assemble their documents; open and close case files; and many more case-management activities. With economic pressures pushing more work down to lower-cost resources, the importance of highly capable paralegals will only increase. Therefore, it is nice to see paralegals getting a little LPM love.

On December 14, 2010, Altman Weil will host a 75-minute webinar that "will examine how your law firm can reduce the cost of production of legal services and improve profitability by maximizing the utilization of paralegals." One of the presentations topics is "[w]orkflow analysis, legal project management, process improvement[,] and productivity".
