If you missed the ALI-ABA CLE course on Legal Project Management, you can now purchase it on demand.
You can read my review of the course here: http://legalprojectmanagement.info/2009/12/today-i-attended-via-web.html
As I had attended the web cast live, I was provided with complimentary access to the on-demand version. I was curious whether the on-demand interface would be an improvement over the streaming Web cast. I was disappointed. The Adobe flash player window was small and did not permit resizing. I chose the option to attend the on-demand version NOT for MCLE credits (I already had my credits from the live version), but still was stuck with a very small viewing window. During the live Web cast, there was a warning that resizing the Windows Media Player window of the stream would prevent my claiming MCLE. Now I wish I'd ignored the warning, viewed full screen, and then claimed MCLE from the complimentary on-demand version. With the on-demand version there seems to be no way to increase the video size, regardless of whether or not you want to claim MCLE credit.
ALI-ABA needs to do something about this. While they provide good content, their video presentation ruins the experience. Providing such a poor end-user experience will just drive people away. There are plenty of on-line MCLE providers for customers to run to.
ALI-ABA, if you care about protecting your IP and ALSO care about providing a quality experience for your end users, how about selling your content via iTUNES? If I could download your content to my iPhone and view it on my big screen TV, you would make a lot more money off of me (and I'm sure I'm not the only one).
Okay, rant over. If you don't mind squinting, the content is good. Here are the details:
